Reward offered for suspect in jewelry theft

A $250 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a former Minden resident who is accused of stealing $3,000 of his mother's jewelry and then using friends to pawn.

Former Minden resident Tyler Scott Schroeder, 20, is believed to be in Reno, hiding from deputies of the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.

A warrant was issued for Schroeder in late March after he failed to appear in court on charges of theft and possession of stolen property related to the case.

Schroeder is described as: male, Caucasian , 20 years-old, approx. 6 feet tall, about 165 pounds, thin build, brown eyes, short-cut brown hair.
