The Morning R-C

Today is picture day for Carson Valley. The annual Day in the Life in the Carson Valley Almanac features photos taken on a single day, today, in a single place, Carson Valley. E-mail large digital photos to photo@recordcourier.com, or you can mail prints to The Record-Courier, 1503 Hwy 395, Suite G, Gardnerville, NV, 89410. The images need to be of high enough resolution that we can print them in the magazine, so don't skimp on the megabytes, and have fun.

The airport weight ordinance workshop last night at the CVIC Hall in Minden attracted two whole people. I'm told the one in Genoa wasn't much better. Come on people, we've exceeded the weight ordinance in the amount of newsprint devoted to the airport, at least come out and make some noise. The next meeting is Sept. 22 in Stateline. There's another meeting 6 p.m. Sept. 24 at the Gardnerville Ranchos volunteer fire station.

The forecast calls for a sunny day with a high of 86 degrees. A light breeze will pick up in the afternoon. The only foreseeable change in the weather will that it's going to get warmer, with high temperatures predicted to be 91 by the first day of fall.
