Minden resident Earl Robert Caya, 78, died Sept. 2, 2009, in Minden.
Born Oct. 2, 1930, in California, to Earl Francis and Consuelo Decaviga Caya, he worked as an airport manager for the U.S. Postal Service for 40 years. He served in the National Guard for 40 years, retiring with the rank of sergeant major.
Mr. Caya is survived by his wife Joan; sons Stan (Michelle), Ron (Helena) and Mark (Melissa); daughters Churi (Steve), Tammy (Tony) and Sheila; sisters Joanne (Steve), Dorothy (Howard) and Darline (Dave); 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two nephews and a niece.
FitzHenry's Crematory is responsible for cremation. FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home is in care of arrangements.
