A celebration of life is 1 p.m. Saturday at the Minden home of Daryl Bruce Davis who died Aug. 20, 2009. He was 71.
Mr. Davis was born May 7, 1938, in Inglewood, Calif., to Sol and Ione Davis.
He was a U.S. Army veteran and worked for Prudential Life Insurance Co. in Woodland Hills, Calif., for 38 years.
Mr. Davis married Jolene Marie Kenney on Sept. 28, 1985. After retiring in 1995, the Davises moved to Minden to be closer to family.
Mr. Davis was a member of the Valley Cruisers Car Club and active at Hot August Nights in Reno.
He loved cars and took great pride in his 1966 Cobra referred to as "DSNAKE."
Mr. Davis is survived by his wife of 23 years, Jolene; sisters and brothers-in-law Terry and MaryAnn Matheson, Michael and Cary Kenney; nieces Megan, Bonnie and Mollie and nephew Mike; cousins Janice and Fred and friends, including his best friend of 52 years, Robert Joers.
Arrangements are in the care of FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home.
