That's what we get

EDITOR:

In order to preserve the rural character of our community I would like to propose a possible solution to the problem of Walmart building a new store in south Gardnerville.

I would suggest that the county, under its power of eminent domain, buy the 100 acres where this development is to take place. The county could use this land as a park, or just leave it as it is, open space.

Of course this would be a very expensive undertaking.

We could all look at this as our just punishment for electing incompetent and self serving individuals to public office.
