Turn in your old electronics, fluorescent light bulbs, and household batteries for recycling, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 12, at the Green Living Festival in Lampe Park.

Soroptomists International are working with the nonprofit ComputerCorps to collect electronic waste - computers (dead or alive), printers (new or old), monitors, cell phones, toner and ink cartridges, copiers, Fax machines, stereos, software and manuals. Exposed electronics and TVs are not accepted.

Computer Corps refurbishes and returns usable equipment back to the community with the Every Home A Classroom program, and provides computer access and skills to underserved children while eliminating electronic waste from landfills.

NV Energy will be collecting fluorescent lightbulbs and household batteries for recycling. No car batteries accepted.


The third annual Green Living Festival is 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sept. 12 at Lampe Park. Free event features workshops, exhibitors, music, food, children's activities. Recycle old electronics, fluorescent light bulbs and household batteries at 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Information, www.cvsustainables.org
