A bad example

EDITOR:

Regardless of your position on health-care reform, it's time we stand up against the dangerous hate-filled mobs that are trying to drown out a real debate on the issue. The ugly, hateful names and death threats to President Obama have no place in this debate.

This mob-mentality is disgraceful and a very poor example of what honest dissent is.

Calling people Nazis is easy, lazy, and dangerous. Separating what's true and what's misinformation and blatant lies, is not so easy. Let's move this debate forward with thoughtful dialogue, empathy and compassion instead of hate. Let's have the courage to think and not yell. This is a horrible example to our children and the rest of the world. This is not how civilized people disagree.
