A reception celebrating the 29th annual Christmas card release by local artist Mimi Jobe is 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 7 at Joyce's Fine Jewelry, 1503 Highway 395, Gardnerville.

Jobe yearly creates a winter scene of Carson Valley and produces the painting into a Christmas card. She will be available to personalize or sign current and past editions of her cards at the reception, where champagne and appetizers will be served. Also available are Joyce's new holiday ornaments, accessories and gifts.
