A memorial service is 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Gall Catholic Church for six-year Gardnerville resident Faustina A. Martin, 78, who died Oct. 23, 2009.
Born Aug. 7, 1931, in Ewa, Hawaii, to Hilarion and Illuminada Anguay, she married Jordan Martin Aug. 10, 1957, in Reno.
She previously lived in Oceanside, Calif., and was a teacher's aide.
She was a member of St. Gall, and enjoyed bingo, cooking and going to the casino.
She was preceded in death by brothers Hilarion Jr., Ralph and Larry Anguay.
She is survived by son Jody (Jacqueline) Martin; daughters Darlene (Corey) Permann and Rose (Martin) Vandewouw; brothers Joe, Richard, Jimmy (Rosemary), Chris (Connie), David and George; sisters Eleanor (Leo) Senn, Janie (Bob) Dittman and Eva; and grandchildren Tiffany, Nicole, April, Bryan, Ashley and Taylor.
Donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
Arrangements are in the care of FitzHenry's Funeral Home & Crematory.
