Historic clothing exhibit during Nevada Day weekend

Staff Reports

The Dangberg Home Ranch Historic Park presents a historic clothing exhibit noon to 4 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Items on display include clothing worn by Henry Fred Dangberg Jr. and Gertrude Hieronymous Dangberg from the 1890s to a collection of clothing, hats, gloves and accessories worn by the family through the 1960s.

"The park's staff and volunteers are very excited to put on the clothing exhibit again this year," said Park Interpreter Mark Jensen. "We've learned so much about the items in the park's collection since our exhibit last year, and we have a lot of new stories to tell."

Admission $3 for adults, free for children 12 and younger. Regular tours will not be offered during the exhibit. Visitors should dress in warm clothing. The park is at 1450 Highway 88, Minden, a half mile south of the Carson Valley Swim Center. Maps and information, Park Interpreter Mark Jensen, www.parks.nv.gov or 783-9417.
