Fallon teen pleads no contest in party case

FALLON, Nev. (AP) - A Fallon teenager who was accused of assaulting a girl at a party hosted by a former girls softball coach has pleaded no contest to conspiracy to commit an obscene, indecent or immoral act in the case.

Jeffrey Lister, the son of a Fallon municipal judge, entered the plea to the gross misdemeanor on Tuesday. He could face one year in jail. Sentencing is set for December.

The 19-year-old had been accused of having sex with a 15-year-old girl at the January 2008 party. The girl told authorities she got drunk and was raped by as many as four boys.

Former coach Tami Peel, who hosted the drinking party for her teenage daughter, was sentenced in April to jail time in the case. She had pleaded guilty to one count of child endangerment, a gross misdemeanor, and five other misdemeanors.
