Burlington, N.C. - Second-year Nevada head women's basketball coach Jane Albright was honored with the Distinguished Service in Sports Award at the Ninth Annual Sports Appreciation Banquet and Awards Program in Burlington, N.C.
Albright was joined at the banquet by her family and high school coach Anne Maynard who introduced Albright.
Albright said she is only one of three females to ever be honored with the award and the last female recipient was former NC State women's basketball coach Kay Yow who was a long-time friend to Albright.
