Football: Nevada offensive tackle Gallette suspended

RENO, Nev. (AP) - Nevada has suspended starting offensive tackle Mike Gallett for the rest of the season for an undisclosed violation of team rules.

Gallett, a 6-foot-6, 300-pound junior from Phoenix, had started every game for the Wolf Pack since last season. He was a second-team all-Western Athletic Conference selection in 2008.

Coach Chris Ault says Gallett is "still a member of our program and he is still a student at the University of Nevada."

Douglas High grad Jeff Nady, now a redshirt freshman, has been sitting behind Gallett on the depth chart this season and could break into a starting role this week.

Nevada (2-3, 1-0 WAC) plays Saturday at Utah State (1-4, 0-1).
