Out of their way

We would like to take this opportunity to give a tremendous thank-you to a business in our community. Designing with Nature in Minden is a landscaping and design firm. President Casey Barnes is a delightful, down-to-earth guy. We live in Topaz Ranch Estates off Highway 208. In the summer of 2007, we decided to have some landscaping done in our backyard. We had some ideas but with three acres we decided we couldn't do it ourselves. In June, we began contacting businesses in Gardnerville, Carson City and even tried Reno.

The response was always the same - "We don't go out that far." By the end of July, we were feeling totally disheartened, until we found Designing with Nature. We explained where we live and to our surprise, "No problem," was the answer.

Casey devised a plan that could be done in stages (since our "ship" that was suppose to come in must have sunk somewhere) so we didn't have to have it done all at once. Well, to make a long story short - a beautiful stone wall with steps leading up to our new trees plus our river rock creek bed running through the backyard was completed in August 2007. A huge thanks to Manuel for sculpting the rock wall - what an artist - and then helping us move the last of the huge boulders to the front yard in the rain. We contacted Casey again in July 2009 to complete the next stage of our landscaping. Never did we hear "We don't come out that way anymore" or "You're too far out." It was like we had just spoken to him yesterday. We wanted to have a concrete mow strip put in plus decomposed granite put along the rock wall. By the end of July, job completed and our backyard is the envy of the neighborhood. Mom liked our yard so much, she had her front yard redone. They did it in two days. Amazing. Robert is a Godsend.

We highly recommend this wonderful business to anyone looking for an honest and professional landscaper. We can't say enough about them. If you have a landscaping job, big or small, that you want done right and that will look beautiful - Designing with Nature is the only place you should consider calling.
