Gas card use could mean jail term

A Gardnerville man faces up to a year in jail after he admitted to using a company gas card to fill his personal vehicle.

Seth Walter Johnston, 30, is accused of spending $37.24 on the card. He said he was fired immediately after the incident.

"That is a number I will never forget, because all of the pain and suffering it has caused me and others around me," he told Judge Michael Gibbons. Sentencing in the case was set for Jan. 4.
