The R-C Morning Report

The drivers in a two-car accident in the Ranchos got a ride to the hospital, but at least it wasn't a helicopter ride. The head-on accident happened at about 5:15 p.m. and closed the intersection at Riverview and Dresslerville Road in time for the commute.

The Airport Advisory Committee is hosting a second presentation on Minden-Tahoe Airport's compliance with Federal Aviation Administration rules. The feds are insisting that Douglas County remove the note in the official directory saying there's a weight restriction. That's why the county wants to revise the voter approved weight ordinance upwards. The meeting's at 6 p.m. at the Tahoe Transportation Center in Stateline.

The chance of thunderstorms this week is continuing to evaporate. Now it's down to 10 percent on Thursday, which is probably a good thing. Expect mostly sunny skies today with a high of 96 in Minden. The temperature at 6 a.m. in Minden is 52 degrees. I'm reading 56 degrees in Genoa.
