Brian Gary Edmonds

A celebration of life is 5-9 p.m. Feb. 7 at the Carson Valley Inn for the friends and family of Gardnerville businessman Brian Gary Edmonds, 61, who died Jan. 21, 2009.

Born Nov. 24, 1947, in Ottawa, Canada, and raised in Tucson, Ariz., Mr. Edmonds went to Amphitheater High School in Tucson and graduated with a bachelor of science degree from the University of Arizona as an aeronautical engineer.

Mr. Edmonds loved to travel and saw much of the world. He also loved fast cars and went to several racing schools and had a collection of various classic and exotic cars.

He named his company JCP after a few of his favorites - Jaguar, Corvette and Porsche. He started his business, JCP, with his wife Dianne in 1988 in Southern California and moved his business to Gardnerville in 1991. He recently started gourmet cooking and took classes every chance he got. He tried some of his eclectic recipes on his dear friends who extremely enjoyed his creations.

He received from the International Order of St. John, The Order of Donat in recognition of his philanthropic work with the order and especially his work with Hogar Christiano, an orphanage in Costa Rica.

Mr. Edmonds was preceded in death by parents Harry and Margaret Edmonds and his brother Ricky Edmonds.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Dianne; his sister Pat and her husband Joe Gasca; his brother Gerry Edmonds and his wife Marilyn; numerous nieces and nephews; and a large family of friends.
