Soroptimist International of Carson Valley presents its 14th annual Savor the Flavor event celebrating food, wine and microbrews, 6-9 p.m. Feb. 28, at Genoa Lakes Golf Resort.
The fundraiser features food and beverage tasting, silent auction and raffle. Raffle tickets are $5 each or five tickets for $20 to win 100 $3 pulls on the Megabucks slot machine, two-night stay at the Carson Valley Inn and dinner for two at Fiona's Bar and Grill.
Tickets are $35 in advance or $40 at the door and are available at Carson River Community Bank, Rosenberg Originals, Carson Valley Inn front desk, Merrill Gardens at Gardnerville, Carson Valley Market at CVI, Nevada State Bank in Minden, Laxague Feed & Supply, World Gym, Historian Inn and Aloha Discount Wine & Liquors.
Proceeds from Savor the Flavor benefit community projects including student scholarships, youth programs, family assistance, environmental and health-related projects.
