Trial date vacated in drug case

A trial date was vacated for Kevin and Maude Cox, who face charges of sales of methamphetamine, after attorneys for the Jacks Valley couple said the case is close to resolution.

Judge Michael Gibbons set a new trial date of March 10, after defense attorney Kris Brown asked for another week to complete plea negotiations.

The Coxes were arrested July 11, 2008, by the Douglas County Sheriff's Office Street Enforcement Team during a raid at their home in the 3500 block of Cherokee Drive. They were accused of providing 5.5 grams of methamphetamine to an informant.
