New eye care center in Minden

A grand opening and ribbon cutting for the new Valley Eyecare & Eyewear Gallery is Thursday at 1644 Highway 395, Unit B-1, in Minden.

The grand opening celebration is noon to 6 p.m.

Dr. Somer Lyons has been practicing optometry in Carson Valley for five years.

"We strive to contribute to a lifetime of healthy vision, providing each patient with the highest quality vision care and consequent quality of life," Lyons said.

Valley Eyecare is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and evenings and weekends by appointment.
