A funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. today at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church in Carson City for Gardnerville resident Matthew Jon Capalbo, 47, who died Jan. 31, 2009, in Reno.
Born Dec. 17, 1961, in Lynwood, Calif., he was a former resident of Downey, Calif., and lived in Gardnerville for four years.
Mr. Capalbo was preceded in death by his father, Nate Capalbo.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Capalbo; daughter Rachael Capalbo; sons Ryan Capalbo and Peter Zazzara; mother Margaret Capalbo; brothers Michael Capalbo and Perry Capalbo; and sisters Kathy Downes and Cindy Peck.
A rosary was recited on Tuesday evening at St. Teresa.
Interment will be in Mottsville Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Walton's Chapel of the Valley, Carson City.
