Entertainment at CVI

Perfect Circle plays in the Carson Valley Inn Cabaret Lounge through Saturday and Shake, Rattle 'n' Roll plays Dec. 29 through Jan. 3. NFL Football plays in the Cabaret Lounge on Sunday day games and for Monday Night Football.

Migrating from Chicago, Gary Douglas on guitar and bass and Kevin Tokarz on keyboard and bass performed at the CVI in the mid-'80s. Vocalist Terry Gerard rounds out Perfect Circle. The band plays four 45-minute shows on the half-hour starting at 8:30 p.m. Thursday and Saturday, and five 45-minute shows at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

Shake, Rattle 'n' Roll recreates rock 'n' roll of the '50s, '60s and '70s with a song list of more than 500 classic hits. The band is Steve Baldwin on lead vocals, Andy Highhouse on guitar, Michael Tucker on bass and vocals, Alan Zucker on drums and Bill Crane on keyboards and vocals. Shake, Rattle 'n' Roll plays four 45-minute shows starting at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and with five 45-minute shows starting at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday and 7 p.m. Sunday.

NFL and college football plays in the Cabaret Lounge on Monday and Thursdays with big-screen action, food and beer specials and prize drawings.

The CVI Cafe Cabaret is open 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sundays and 5 p.m. until the end of the third quarter during Monday Night Football.

Nevada's Oldest Thirst Parlor, the Genoa Bar at 2282 Main St., offers a free juke box 6-10 p.m. Tuesdays and free pool 6-10 p.m. Wednesdays. Ladies night begins 6 p.m. Thursdays, with specials on ladies drinks and merchandise.

New Year in Genoa

The Town of Genoa Recreation Events Committee hosts a New Year's Eve party, 8:30 p.m. in the Genoa Town Hall. Cost of $25 per person includes party favors, entertainment, dancing, two drinks and hors d'oeuvres. Event catered by Genoa Country Store owner Ron Benedetti. Music by Time Warp DJ Chuck Baldauskas.
