The R-C Morning Report

It's slick out there this morning. All that melt-off from yesterday has turned into ice, and I expect we'll hear a lot of falls today. The National Weather Service has issued a freezing fog advisory. Visibility will be less than a mile in places The fog will deposit a thin layer of ice on streets and roads. It is supposed to lift by 10 a.m.

Once the fog lifts, it will be partly sunny today with a high of 39 degrees. There's a chance of rain in the forecast tor Tuesday and Wednesday.

The sentencing of a 20-year-old woman, who was involved with a joyriding incident at Lake Tahoe, will be reviewed this morning. Leah Turner's sentencing for possession of methamphetamine was deferred in February 2008 for three years so she could go to Ohio for drug treatment.
