Football: Kelly arrives for work at Notre Dame

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Brian Kelly arrived at Notre Dame on Friday to begin his job as the new Irish football coach.

The student who performs as the leprechaun during football games greeted Kelly's morning arrival for a team meeting with the shout, "Bring us back to glory!"

Kelly didn't say anything as he and athletic director Jack Swarbrick walked inside for the 25-minute meeting. Players leaving the meeting declined comment.

The former Cincinnati coach agreed to a five-year contract with Notre Dame on Thursday and is to be introduced at a news conference Friday afternoon.
