St. Gall Catholic Church celebrates their 90-year anniversary with a family hike and Mass on Jobs Peak on Aug. 23.
Meet at 7 a.m. Aug. 23 at the church, 1343 Centerville Lane, Gardnerville, to caravan to the Jobs Peak trailhead. The hike begins at 8 a.m. and Mass will be celebrated on top. The hike is about two miles one way, taking about two to three hours to reach the peak, planning a return to the trailhead by 3 p.m.
Hikers need to bring their own water, lunch and snacks and should be physically active and able to negotiate some fairly steep terrain.
