Girls' Soccer: Douglas shuts out Wooster

The Douglas High girls' soccer team improved to 9-0 overall and 3-0 in Sierra League play with a 3-0 win over Wooster in Reno Tuesday afternoon.


Alex Laing scored a pair of goals and added an assist to lead the Tigers.


Tia Lyons got Douglas on the board first with a goal in the sixth minute on an assist from Laing.


Laing followed that up with an unassisted goal in the 17th minute and another goal two minutes later on an assist from Katie Dry.


Dry assisted Michelle Day on a goal in the 43rd minute, Dany Heidt scored in the 52nd minute on an unassisted goal and Ally Freitas wrapped things up on a goal off an assist from Day.
