An ex-felon and a Gardnerville woman were arrested Sunday at a Gardnerville motel after deputies found 10.5 grams of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, four weapons and ammunition in the room.

Causing is charged with ex-felon in possession of a firearm, trafficking in a controlled substance, conspiracy to violate the Uniform Controlled Substances Act and possession of a controlled substance.

He also was charged with an adult supervision violation. Causing was sentenced in May to 60 days in jail for possession of drug paraphernalia and placed on probation.

Causing is being held on $25,000 bail.

Williams was charged with trafficking in a controlled substance and conspiracy to violate the Uniform Controlled Substances Act.

Her bail is $5,000.

Deputies said they had numerous tips concerning Causing selling methamphetamine near Gardnerville bars.

According to reports, with the assistance of K-9 officer Hondo, deputies located 10.5 grams of methamphetamine, seven glass pipes, a scale, 86 plastic bindles, a notebook with pay and owe sheets, two identification cards for Causing from the Nevada Department of Corrections, a metal case with five harmonicas, a Scooby Doo decoder ring and two pens.

The weapons included a Ruger .233-caliber rifle with scope, a Glock Model 20 10-mm semiautomatic pistol, a .38-caliber Colt 6-shot revolver and a Taurus 9-mm semiautomatic handgun.

Deputies found two large bags of rifle/pistol magazines and ammunition close to the methamphetamine.
