Project Santa Claus is getting support from many of the businesses in Minden Village this year. Project Santa Claus matches children of need in Douglas County, newborn through age 15, with sponsors in order to fulfill their holiday wishes for toys and clothing.
Drop-off points have been established at Artisans International Gallery, Bodywise Physical Therapy, Charles Schwab, City National Bank, First American Title, Indigo Restaurant, Lira's Market, Wachovia Securities and Wasabi's Asian Bistro. The businesses request unwrapped new books, mittens and caps, toys, and games. In addition to the items for children, the above mentioned businesses are collecting non-perishable food for the Carson Valley Community Food Closet. The donation drive starts Nov. 3 and ends Dec. 5.
