Early voting at the CVIC Hall is accelerating with 860 people turning out on Monday to cast their ballots. At the rate its going, early voting for the November election will exceed that for the primary at the end of business today.
Speaking of voting, nominations for the Carson Valley Community Awards are being accepted through next Wednesday. We've already got some nominations. Don't wait for the last minute. I've attached the form to this article, so you don't even have to leave the house. Feel free to fax them to 782-6152.
Today's weather is forecast to be sunny and clear with a high around 70 and the low tonight back below freezing by a couple of degrees. That's pretty much where it's going to stay for the next week or so, according to the National Weather Service.
