The MeFiYi Foundation would like to thank all the participants and sponsors of the 2008 Big George Ventures Celebrity Golf Tournament on Oct. 10.

Your enthusiasm and braving the cold made this fundraiser an unforgettable experience. Our generous thank to our sponsors: Big George Ventures, NV Energy, Western Nevada Supply, Carson Valley Inn, Carson Valley Accounting, First Independent Bank of Nevada, Major League Baseball Players Alumni, Tamarack Junction Casino & Restaurant, Vitals, Inc., NFL Charities, The E.L. The proceeds from this event will benefit Douglas High School Athletics and the Boys & Girls Club of Carson Valley.

Also, we could not have had a successful event without the assistance from our outstanding volunteers: Beth Mitchell, Sonjia Lorntzen, Naomi Dimartino, Jodie Andersen and Tricia Carthen. Finally, special thanks to Genoa Lakes Golf Resort for hosting our golf tournament and banquet. It was fantastic.

This event was a huge success and we were busy from the time we opened until closing. This event is made possible by our generous community working together to provide a safe and fun environment for the kids of Carson Valley to trick or treat. All the proceeds made from this event go directly back into our youth in our DARE, GREAT, Fighting Chance And Explorer Programs. Next year this event will be back at Cvic Hall and we look forward to having everyone back again. Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone involved, you know who you are.
