Food drive

Gardnerville Boy Scout Troop 411 and Cub Scout Pack 409 will be in Chichester Estates and west of Tillman Lane and in Pleasantview leaving food collection notices Saturday. They will return the morning of Nov. 15 to pick up food items left bagged on the porch. Donations will go to the Carson Valley Community Food Closet. Information, Ed Kleiner, 720-3681.


Craft fair

Topaz Sagehens Fall Boutique and bake sale community fundraiser is 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Topaz Ranch Estates Park building on Carter Drive. Art and crafts, baked goods, hot dogs, chili dogs, baked potatoes, drinks available. Raffle tickets, 6 for $5, 32 for $20.


Craft fair

Holiday craft fair, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, at Carson Valley United Methodist Church, 1375 Centerville Lane, Gardnerville. Handcrafted decorations, baked goods, raffle, face painting and a visit from Santa from 10 a.m. to noon. Chili lunch for $5 adults, $3 children from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Silent auction and raffle drawing at 2 p.m. Sponsored by United Methodist Women.


Craft fair

FEAT of Carson Valley Autism Support Group meets 3-5 p.m. Saturday at East Fork Fire Station No. 12, 3620 N. Sunridge Dr., Carson City. Antelope bazaar

The Antelope Valley Women's Club bazaar and roast beef dinner is noon to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Walker Community Center in Walker. The event features local crafts and vendors from noon until 5 p.m., when dinner starts. Adults $10, kids (3-10) $5. Information, (530) 495-9150.


Museum lecture

Author Mike Makley discusses the "Fight for the Comstock Riches," 7 p.m. Nov. 13 at the Carson Valley Museum & Cultural Center 1477 Highway 395, Gardnerville. The free lecture series is sponsored by the Douglas County Historical Society the second Thursday of the month. The museum and the Main Street Book Store will be open before and following the one-hour lecture. Information, 782-2555.
