Obama victory celebrated by Douglas Democrats

Douglas County's Democrats gathered to celebrate the presidential victory of Sen. Barack Obama in Nevada.

While Obama didn't win the county, the Nevada Secretary of State's Office reported the Illinois senator received 57.86 percent of the vote in the state, winning Clark, Washoe and Carson City counties.

McCain, who came in second in the county during the caucus, received 12,761 votes to Obama's 9,408 votes with 80.78 percent of the vote in.

Democrats packed the Shannon Ballroom and gave a cheer when Obama was projected to win the state at 8 p.m.
