Douglas County Sheriff's Search and Rescue personnel are hiking down the mountain with a man who reported breathing problems this afternoon.
The man was located 800 feet up the mountain from Walley's Hot Springs at about 2 p.m.
He told dispatchers that he wasn't able to breathe and needed help.
Helicopters were called to help locate the man, who was reported to be awake and alert.
The man was hiking with his son. Rescuers reported it will be 7 p.m. before they are able to clear the scene.
