Expect a rocky night tonight as a new storm front rolls in from the Gulf of Alaska. There will be a burst of high winds this afternoon and then starting at 11 p.m. 20-30 mph winds kick off and last through the night. According to the forecast, wind speed will increase to 30 mph on Wednesday afternoon, with gusts of up to 60 mph in the foothills.
While there's a chance of seeing snow fall out of the sky, this storm going to blow through so fast, nothing will stick. There's a slight chance of rain on Wednesday and then a slightly better chance of snow on Thursday night.
It's not really winter, so it must be roadwork. A band of roving crack sealers have been spotted on Jacks Valley Road this week. First Street in Minden is closed for more utility work and the "piece of resistance" will be the closure of one lane of Highway 395 between Buckeye Road and Highway 88 on Saturday.
We're still pursuing information on the Easter wreck at Highway 88 and Mottsville Lane. I'll post something when I know more.
