The R-C Morning Report

Budget hearings for Douglas County kick off 2 p.m. today with the general fund. The hearings start at 2 p.m. and commissioners have set aside four hours. The second half of the hearings begin 2 p.m. Wednesday. I expect both sessions to run longer than planned, since they have about 44 different budgets to work through. The highlight today will be the room tax fund.

St. Patrick's Day in Genoa drew a full house to the Town Hall on Monday night. The table was full and entertainment included Pastor Patrick Jolly, who sang songs of Eire and Irish dancers.

It will be a nice day today with the high temperature creeping up on 60 and mostly sunny skies. The National Weather Service is forecasting a slight chance of rain on Wednesday. There will be a better chance of wind with gusts of up to 25 mph
