Woman who killed husband gets life with parole

A Johnson Lane woman who was convicted of the 2006 killing her aircraft mechanic husband will be nearly 70 before she is eligible for parole.

Karen Bodden was sentenced to life with the possibility of paroleand an additional 10 years for using a firearm in the shooting death of her husband Robin.

Judge Dave Gamble sentenced Bodden this morning.

Under the sentence, Bodden, 45, would be eligible for parole on the murder charge in 20 years and 4 years in the enhancement. The sentences will run consecutively.
