The R-C Morning Report

California's Perfect Cash greeted Nevada's Cash with a loud whiny at Woodfords Station 6:26 this morning as the Pony Express Re-Ride's Nevada contingent took over the mochila. I've got video that I will post in a bit. Carl will hand the mochila over to Mike Murphy at Fredricksburg and then to Bob More at Fairview Lane. Dean Heller's wife Lynn will take over the ride at Old Kingsbury Grade and bring the mochila into Genoa by about 9 a.m.

The Douglas County Historical Society will be hosting Snowshoe Thompson Day at the Genoa Court House Museum 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. today. If the rider doesn't make more time, the Pony Express should arrive in time for opening ceremonies.

It's chilly out there now, but warming up fast. Looks like the start of a perfect day. The high today is supposed to hit 88 with a breeze picking up this afternoon. Expect gusts of up to 25 mph.
