Donald Walter

Bauman

1932-2008

Longtime Gardnerville resident Donald Walter Bauman died Jan. 16, 2008, at Evergreen Healthcare.

He was 75.

Mr. Bauman was born Nov. 22, 1932, to Walter M. and Jennie Karo Bauman in Laytonville, Calif.

He graduated from high school in Orland, Calif.

Mr. Bauman married Doris Osborn on Aug. 25, 1951, in Orland, and was a 41-year resident of Gardnerville.

He was an electrician and millwright and a member of First Baptist Church in Gardnerville.

Mr. Bauman enjoyed hunting, fishing, and woodcutting.

He was preceded in death by his father in 1982 and mother in 2003.

He is survived by his wife Doris of Gardnerville, sons and daughters-in-law Wendell and Barbara Bauman of Niceville, Fla., and Donald and Angela Bauman of Winnemucca, son Dale Bauman of Mound House, daughter Sheryl Barwig of Gardnerville, foster daughter Penny Stiles of Corning, Calif., sister Mariet Cage of Mesa, Ariz., five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Cremation will take place at FitzHenry's Crematory in Carson City. FitzHenry's Carson Valley was in charge of arrangements.

Thomas John Lee

1931-2008

Thomas John Lee of Dayton died Jan. 21, 2008, in Reno. He was 77.

Mr. Lee had been a Dayton resident since 1968. He worked at Carson-Tahoe Hospital, and enjoyed fishing.

Mr. Lee was born Nov. 5, 1931, in Oakley, Idaho, to George L. and Helen Stowers Lee.

He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Ann in 1997 and sister Helen Gibbs.

Mr. Lee is survived by his daughter Debra Yim of Minden, brothers George and Dick Lee and one grandchild.

A memorial service is set for 4 p.m. Monday at FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home in Gardnerville.

Cremation is to take place at FitzHenry's Crematory in Carson City. FitzHenry's Carson Valley was in charge of arrangements.
