General backing Obama speaks to Democrats tonight

Barack Obama National Campaign Co-Chair and retired four-star Gen. Merrill "Tony" McPeak will attend the Douglas County Democratic Central Committee meeting 7 p.m. today.

A former chief of staff of the U.S. Air Force who served in the armed forces for over 35 years, McPeak will address Douglas County Democrats to discuss Obama's foreign policy and national security vision for the country.

Following the meeting, the Douglas County Democratic Committee will host their own mock caucus to prepare for the upcoming Jan. 19 caucuses.

Democratic headquarters are located at 1662 Hwy 395, Suite 105, Minden
