Define Fitness has new personal trainer

Jill Fujii, former co-owner of West Coast Martial Arts, has left World Gym to become the new physical trainer at Define Fitness in Johnson Lane.

"It's the best way to touch lives," said Fujii.

After leaving West Coast, Fujii studied and received fitness certification from the International Science Sports Association. She worked at World Gym for four years before making the switch to Define Fitness.

"I specialized in senior fitness and eventually want to be able to go their homes and help them work out," she said. "I work in strength, flexibility and nutrition. It's important for seniors to do weight-bearing exercises. It produces minerals that reduce Osteoporosis. If you have no impact or stress on bones, it can lead to Osteoporosis."

Fujii also emphasizes posture.

"I teach clients to stand up correctly," she said.
