The R-C Morning Report

It's President's Day, which means many county, state and federal offices are closed today, as are banks and the Post Office won't be delivering mail. But there will be lots of sales today in the hopes of giving the economy a little boost. So do your economic duty and get out there and buy something, preferably in the Valley.

Like these nice days? Because they're about to end with another wet storm rolling in this week. The National Weather Service issued a special statement forecasting that a series of storms will begin to hit Western Nevada starting on Tuesday afternoon with a weak system and then a second system which will bring snow Thursday and Friday followed by another system on Sunday.

Today will be mostly sunny with a nice breeze and high temperature of around 57 degrees. Tuesday's front won't roll in until after 4 p.m.
