Mashelle Begovich and Jim Richardson of Gardnerville announce the engagement of their daughter, Mary Sophia-Begovich Richardson, to Travis S. Smith of Gardnerville.
Richardson is a 2002 graduate of Douglas High School and a 2005 graduate of Western Nevada College. She is a student in deaf studies at WNC.
Smith is the son of Grant Smith of Yerington and Christine Turney of Spring Creek, Nev. He is a 2001 graduate of Spring Creek High School and works as an aggregate foreman with Grant Smith Aggregates.
The couple plans to be married in Gardnerville on Sept. 20, 2008.
