The Record-Courier is open today, as are county and state offices. Federal offices are closed, so no access to the U.S. Forest Service or Bureau of Land Management.
With all the snow there may be a temptation to dump it in the street, on the sidewalk, wherever. Well temptation often leads to sin and the sin in this case is the violation of Douglas County Code 12.08.040, which makes it a misdemeanor to place snow, slush or ice from private property onto a public sidewalk, street or thoroughfare. You know who you are.
It'll be sunny today, but chilly. Highway 395 is one big ice skating ring, so be careful. Expect temperatures to warm up next week as another little storm comes rolling through.
