Five power poles are down at Centerville Lane and Foothill Road causing a power outage from Foothill south, according to emergency personnel.
A NVEnergy crew is on scene and working on the line, but power's expected to be out for most of the day.
Reports are that portions of Alpine County and southern Douglas County are without electricity.
The Record-Courier has contacted the power company and will have an update as soon as one is available.
