It's time for the Young At Heart Senior Citizens Club annual membership drive. Annual dues are $3 and membership is open to anyone age 55 and older.
Funds raised by Young At Heart are used for projects throughout the year including gift bags for the holidays, repairs and upkeep at the Douglas County Senior Center, fundraising for a new center and community events.
Sign up to join Young At Heart, 10 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday, at the senior center. Annie Smutnak will be collecting memberships Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings at the senior center, 2300 Meadow Lane, Gardnerville.
Last year, Smutnak helped bring Young At Heart's membership to 372 and has a goal of 500 members for this year. Information, 783-6455.
