Douglas County residents now have anytime, anywhere access to more than 1,900 eAudiobook and more than 3,800 eBook titles at the Douglas County Public Library.

Access and download eBooks and eAudiobooks via the library's Web site, www.douglas.lib.nv.us. New users need to go to the library to create an online account to be able to download eBooks and eAudiobooks from any location. Users may check out up to 10 eAudiobooks at a time. Titles are automatically returned to the library at the end of the checkout period.

Audiobooks are books that have been read aloud and recorded. The collection includes popular fiction, self help, travel, biography, children's and Young Adult books to be downloaded or played on desktops, laptops or portable device that supports Windows Media Player version 9 and above. Users may also transfer favorite titles to portable music players or media centers.

Full-text, electronic versions of published books are available as eBooks that library users can search, borrow, read and return via the Internet. Collections available include business, education, computer science and job searching. The subscription to eAudiobooks is funded with a grant from the Nevada Legislature.
