We believe in Carson Valley's generosity

A simple slogan has appeared on the windows of vehicles all over Carson Valley. "We believe," have been the watchwords for supporters of Joey Jacobsen, who was injured woodcutting last week.

Supporters are holding fundraisers in support of the 10-year-old who remains in a coma in the hospital.

While Valley residents find new ways to help Joey, they continue their efforts to support many of our community's charities.

Residents are packing boxes and gathering Christmas cards to send to our service members overseas during the holidays.

Project Santa Claus is gathering toys, coats and donations for the Valley's needier residents.

And folks continue to donate to the Carson Valley Community Food Closet.

These are just a few of the causes Valley residents have embraced to make our community a better place to live.

Carson Valley has a long tradition of generosity when there are residents in need.

Keeping that tradition alive in hard times is a far greater test of our character as a community, one that we believe will be more than met today and in the future.
