Douglas County Senior Services will be reaching beyond traditional entertainment with a trip to see Aphelion on Oct. 4 at the El Dorado Hotel and Casino in Reno. The event starts with dinner at the seafood buffet followed by the 7 p.m. show.
Aphelion features an international cast of aerialists, contortionists, acrobats, dancers and jugglers and combines interactive comedy acts and dance routines with creative sets, staging and costumes. Aphelion is a production reminiscent of the days of traveling circuses.
The cost for the excursion is $45 and includes transportation, dinner in the Chef's Buffet and the show. Spaces are limited. Make reservations by Sept. 19 at the Douglas County Senior Center, 783-6455.
