Child care program celebrates 25 years

Staff Reports

Trinity Lutheran Church marks the 25th anniversary of the child care center with a family reunion celebration Aug. 24.

A special service at 10:45 a.m. features songs performed by the children from the center followed by a barbecue lunch. Bring a salad dish to share. Meat, drinks and dessert will be provided by the church. Call for reservation at 782-5437.

Children may check out the child care center's playground with slides, swings, an eight-person teeter-totter, sand box, playhouses and monkey bars.

There will be live music and a slideshow of the history of the center shown throughout the afternoon.

"We are very excited to bring together as many past and present TLC families as possible to help share our celebration," said TLC Director Donna Einspahr. "Once you've been a member of our family, you're always part of the family, so all our past students and families are welcome and encouraged to attend. The celebration is also a perfect opportunity for new families to check us out, to meet and talk with current families, as we are currently enrolling for our fall session."

Trinity Lutheran has been providing child care for children from 18 months through second grade since 1983 with its mission to "teach a loving Christ in a caring community."

"It's always so affirming when a student who once attended TLC chooses to bring his or her child to the center for care and learning," said Einspahr.

The hours of Trinity Lutheran Church's child care center are 6:45 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. Information at 782-5437.
