Bail at $400,000 in lewdness case

Bail was set at $400,000 for a Gardnerville man jailed Aug. 7 on allegations of lewdness involving a 5-year-old girl and 4-year-old boy.

Edgardo Flores, 38, is to appear in East Fork Justice Court on Wednesday on two counts of lewdness with a child under age 14. If convicted, he faces up to life in prison.

According to court reports, Flores made "incriminating admissions" to investigators in the charge involving the girl, but denied touching the boy.

The incidents allegedly took place during June.
